AWF Newcastle Knock Out !

AWF NEWCASTLE KNOCK OUT!
Event Held At: Kings Theatre, Newcastle, NSW
Date: 11th July 2008
Attendance: 100

Results:

  • Toxin defeated

  • Billy Flyswat defeated Zander Bathory

  • AWF Young Lion's Title Match:
Jay Law defeated Dr. Waxhead to retain the AWF Young Lion's Title

  • Alison Wonderland & Massive Q defeated Bombshell Bo & Max Comic

  • Steve Ravenous defeated Bluey Bonza

  • AWF Tag Team Titles Match:
Swat Team X defeated Black Venum to retain the AWF Tag Team Titles

  • AWF Australasian Title Match:
Il Cognito defeated Powerhouse Theo to retain the AWF Australasian Title

Notes :
  • Freakshow opened the event celebrating for Il Cognito’s title victory over TNT from the weekend before. Powerhouse Theo interrupted the celebration and said he would be cashing in his title shot gained by winning Supa Tournament Sydney and would bring AWF Title back to the Detonation Crew.

  • The first two matches broke down as each teams partner interfered in the respective bouts. Bathory causing X defeat, and Chris X causing Bathory the loss. After the second bout both teams squabbled and set a Tag Title bout for later that night.

  • Dr Waxhead came close in front of his hometown crowd in dethroning Jay Law for his Young Lion’s belt, but Law was just victorious again over Southern Cross members.

  • In the mixed tag bout, after Massive Q was announced as Wonderlands partner, Max Comic, who upset Q the weekend before at Fairy Meadow after a TNT belt shot, was announced as Bo’s partner. Comic came to the ring dressed as TNT and was a crazy man! Freakshow members got the sneaky win in the end.

  • Steve Ravenous returned to strong form downing Bluey Bonza. After the bout Ravenous said he would take back AWF Title at Central Coast the next night against either Cognito or Theo.

  • Swat Team X on way to victory, injured Zander Bathory, and he will miss next days event.

  • Il Cognito defeated Powerhouse Theo in his first Australasina Title defence.

  • Crowd was small but very vocal, and the Kings Theatre has a great vibe for pro-wrestling. Be sure to tell Newcastle fans to attend when the next show is on so AWF can continue to come to the area.
