The July to December AWF season has started off in good stride with successful shows. Steve Ravenous’ reign as Champion is going strong, with victories over Scotty Club and Mark Hilton in September title defences. The champ’s next challenges will come in the form of Jay Law at The King Tom Club, then if he survives that onslaught, he will defend against Super Crimson Mask at Blacktown. Ravenous remains confident as Champion, and looks to be settling into his position as the AWF’s top man. Japanese wrestling sensation Cima will come to wrestle in AWF rings in January 2007. Cima is the “Ace” of the Dragon Gate promotion in Japan, and is one of the most popular and revered wrestlers in Japan. Cima will appear at Blacktown RSL, NSW on Saturday 6 January and Cardiff Panthers on Sunday 7 January. More information will be on the AWF website soon, with tickets available at the 26 November Blacktown event, and from the venues soon. Scotty Club is the new AWF Young Lion’s Champion, with his win over Jay Law at Campbelltown on 16 September. In addition to the title, in front of the sell out audience, Club proposed to his girlfriend Ashley and she accepted, and the two are now engaged. Congratulations all round to Scotty Club! AWF wishes you all the success with your reign and your future marriage. Super Crimson Mask has been hitting the body bags and training like a maniac in preparation for his upcoming AWF Title match at Blacktown on 26 November, against the winner of Ravenous Vs. Law on 3 November. Mask has been heard screaming “I likes gold!” and will be looking to take the Title in his first Title bout. Feel free to send any more questions to info@awfwrestling.com.au uture Shock and TNT have been at odds, with their showdown set to come to a head at the King Tom Club on 3 November in a Hair Vs. Hair match. Both men are known for their long hair, so this will be the ultimate battle of pride. Don’t miss this show to see what goes down! Powerhouse Theo has been impressive in initial AWF outings, using a powerful barrage of high impact wrestling to charge through initial encounters. Theo will challenge for Scotty Club’s Young Lion’s Championship at The King Tom Club on 3 November. Tensions will be at an all time high between Kid Dynamite and Mark Hilton come 26 Novembers Blacktown event. On 3 November the two will battle in a mixed tag bout with women wrestlers, The Webmistress teaming with Dyno, and Shorty on the side of Hilton. Then at Blacktown the ladder Match Showdown will take place, with the two going at it with the Australia’s Cup suspended above the ring. Don’t miss this bout, as it promises to be one of the hottest matches in AWF history. Billy Flyswat recently has been appearing from out of nowhere and defending the honour of citizens and damsels in distress. He recently tried to save a lady friend of TNT’s and it turned into quite a situation! Stay tuned to the AWF site to see footage of this madness soon. This course will be ideal for those that have wanted to train but could not make it to weekly sessions, or for those who wish to train and be ready to wrestle in a quicker time period.
