The Australasian Wrestling Federation (AWF) returns to its home base, the AWF Dojo in St Andrews on Sat 17 May to present an evening of exciting and fun filled up close and in your face pro-wrestling action.

 The “Stronger Than All” line up will feature the wrestlers of the AWF showcasing their talents in entertaining pro-wrestling bouts, in an event suitable for all ages.

A huge card has been planned that will feature a variety of different personalities and wrestling styles, with the main event for the evening featuring a long standing grudge returned, with Minto based local fan favourite Scotty Club of “The Southern Cross”  battling “Detonation Crew” member Powerhouse Theo.

 Theo defeated Scotty Club for the Young Lion’s Championship on 23 March 2007 and ended Club’s first championship reign. Scotty then went on to Tag Team success as an AWF Tag Team Champion in Surf Club while Theo reigned as Young Lion’s Champion for almost a whole year. Recently both men have lost their Championship gold, and now their paths meet again to settle old scores and to see who has progressed most in their time away from each other in singles action. This will be a battle to see who is the top rising star in Australia today.

In other feature action, the women of the AWF will go at it for the very first time in a sanctioned bout, as Alison Wonderland of “The Freakshow” will make her singles in ring debut taking on rival “Bombshell Bo” of “The Detonation Crew”. These girls have been on opposing sides as valets in the past, but this will be their first time against each other in singles action. It will be very interesting to see who has the best skill and tactics to come out on top in this one.

In AWF Young Lion’s Under 25’s Championship action, Jay Law will defend his title against main rival, “The Aussie Battler” Bluey Bonza. At the recent Blacktown event on 3 May, Bonza caused Law to be counted out in his title defence with Massive Q, and told Law he would be coming for him at the dojo to take his title. Jay Law has defended his title successfully in Australia and New Zealand to date, but Bonza has been in form and could well be just too much for the Law.

Other bouts scheduled for the evening will see faction warfare escalate as members of The Platinum Players battle members of “The Freakshow”. The newly crowned AWF Tag Team Champions Swat Team X will make their first defence against Adam Hoffman & Nick Ferno, AWf Champion, TNT will also be on hand to oversee proceedings, and Max Comic will face a debuting new wrestler from the AWF School of Pro-Wrestling to round out the event.

The “Stronger Than All” event promises to be a fun filled evening suitable for wrestling fans of all ages and will no doubt be a more than memorable night. A great night out for the whole family.
