After a heart thumping event on 30 August, the Australasian Wrestling Federation (AWF) returns to the new state of the art Campbelltown Convention & Entertainment Complex venue “The Cube” on Sat 25 October, to present a massive evening of live sports entertainment entitled “AWF October Wrestlefest”.

The October Wrestlefest event will showcase the best AWF has to offer in seven feature bouts, jam packed with excitement for over 2 hours of live pro-wrestling action suitable for the family.
 
The main event for the evening will feature AWF Australasian Champion and “Ringmaster of The Freakshow” Il Cognito, accompanied by burlesque dancer extraordinaire, Alison Wonderland, taking on leader of the “Platinum Players” group Steve Ravenous.
At the 30 August Campbelltown event, Il Cognito defeated “Platinum Players” member JT Robinson in a wild Campbelltown Street Fight, in a match that took a lot out of both men’s wrestling careers. Head Platinum Player Ravenous, while furious that JT was unable to come away with the title, has stated that he will now step up, and finish the job that Robinson started. Ravenous, a former AWF Champion defenately has the tools to defeat Cognito and shift the balance of power in the AWF over to the “Platinum Players” faction.
Il Cognito has also unquestionably been at the top of his game in 2008, and is now also on top of the pile in the AWF as Australasian Champion after pinning TNT on 6 July in a Championship Climax four way bout at  Blacktown RSL.
Il Cognito has faired well in early title defences against Powerhouse Theo, JT Robinson & TNT using his sneaky carny tactics to gain advantage and victory, keeping the title at any cost.
When these two opposing team leaders face off at The Cube on 25 October it will no doubt be Main Event time!

Elsewhere on the card new Young Lion’s Champion Bluey Bonza, will face cocky “Platinum Players” member Kid Dynamite in under 25’s title match action.
Bluey Bonza captured the Young Lion’s Championship in glorious fashion at the last Campbelltown event, with the fans and his girl Shazza McKenzie getting behind him to finally overcome former champion Jay Law.
Kid Dynamite has put on the record that he is coming to Campbelltown to take the Young Lion’s belt and then will aid Ravenous with the Australasian Championship so “The Player’s” have full control of the AWF singles title scene.

In other exciting bouts, solo Tag Team Champion Billy Flyswat will battle “The Freakshow’s” Massive Q & Toxin. “Detonation Crew” leader TNT will face “Australian Made” member Adam “Dr Waxhead” Hoffman. AWF newcomer, the snobbish Rockafella will face the force of Powerhouse Theo. “Platinum Player” JT Robinson will face the massive Blakestone, and hard man Jay Law, will face the vany Rob “The Scientist” Best to round out the card.

“AWF October Wrestlefest” is sure to be great evening packed with surprises galore, so if you are looking for a fun night out be sure to make it along and support the Australasian Wrestling Federation.
