Members: Il Cognito, Massive Q, Toxin, Zander Bathory & Alison Wonderland
Group History: The Freakshow is the most unpredictable and feared group in Australian wrestling.
Officially formed by leader Il Cognito on 14 October, 2007 at The Supanova Pop Culture Convention, in Homebush, NSW, Massive Q was the first member to join Il Cognito’s sideshow.
The group’s history started as Il Cognito and Q met in singles competition on 7 October at Blacktown RSL, NSW with Il Cognito viciously smearing paint all over Q’s face after victory. It was that infection that lead to the events of the following weekend and the group’s formation.
After the TNT Vs Il Cognito AWF Championship bout at Supanova on 13 October, Massive Q turned on former friend TNT, and he and Il Cognito double teamed him until he was saved by Surf Club.
The next day before facing Surf Club, Il Cognito announced the formation of “The Freakshow” with Massive Q being introduced.
On 20 October at Niagara Park, NSW the Freakshow was joined by an unnamed valet who attacked “Bodacious” Bo in their bout against Surf Club. The wild Droog like Burlesque dancer would be introduced as “The Freakshow’s” new valet Alison Wonderland, and would be ringside during future Freakshow bouts.
After a brutal and bloody Double Dog Collar bout at Fairy Meadow on 14 March, the team of “Black Venum” consisting of Zander Bathory and Toxin were applauded by Il Cognito for their new found intensity and were initiated as new members into the group.
Alison Wonderland made her in ring debut defeating “Bombshell” Bo on 17 May at Sweeney’s Ingleburn, NSW with a running powerbomb.
The Freakshow are the most crazed, dangerous and violent individuals in the AWF, making them a major threat for all AWF Championships.
